One of the largest university museums with a really nice selection of ancient art (great collection of Greek vases and early Romian sculptures), medieval altar sculptures and ealry modern paintings.

Very helpful and friendly staff. The antiquities collection is the better of the two collections in terms of quality. While the paintings and renaissance sculpture are good there are few masterpieces. The main exception being the Tilman Riemenschneider works. There's a staggered opening so the paintings are open to lunch time and the antiquities after.

Shame on all the museums with artifacts from other places. They don't belong in Germany... Return the Parthenon sculpture to Athens, where it belongs!
