Popped in for a quick drink before the City Varieties. Nice pub, tucked out of the way. Small cocktail menu but they do 241 on Fridays 4-8pm. Have to say despite the nice surroundings the bar staff really looked like they wished they were somewhere else.

Good atmosphere, great food, great service. Will definitely go again should I be in Leeds. (The disabled bathroom needs a deep clean or refurb, definitely needs a mirror.)

Had been to the 'Rock Panto' next door at City Varieties. Table was booked, we arrived early no problem for the attentive staff who quickly got us a table. Four of us had 3 selections from the menu, all of us thought really good food, well presented and tasty, in fact probably the best we had amongst recent visits compared to other establishments. Pub grub at its finest. Great value not overpriced. Staff superb.
